The Raptor Farm?? Where Else??
Thought i would post this here as it is a basic GW question so here it is??
I am currently using this build for Raptor Farming
Glyph of Renewal
Stoneflesh Aura
Armor of Earth
Sliver Armor
Magnetic Aura
Ether Feast
Channelling
Mantra of Resolve
But i seem to be killed by Rekoff more than i kill her cos i basically suck lol...
But i am wondering what other places can be farmed with the raptor builds..
for example can the Hulking Stone Elementals in Old Ascalon...

Raptors are in large mobs, there are only 3-6 stone eles at a time, and they deal less damage, you should use different build for those.
Try looking in the farming forum for more info.

vaettir farming is one of the easiest ways to get good money, it requires minimal skills and can be done with a sin but you need to run invisi sins with perma shadow form.

No you don't, I run it with my elementalist + the following build:
[Deadly Paradox] [Shadow Form] [Mindbender] [Ebon Escape] [Dark Escape] ["I am Unstoppable!"] [Feigned Neutrality] [Death's Charge]
You don't need perma shadow to farm the first guys there, nor do you need it to run to the place, if you've done it for a while.

As in, kill them before your Shadow Form runs out?

Well you might not kill them before SF runs out, but when it does run out odds are they will be knock-locked from the kegs so it won't matter

I thought the idea of some farm builds was so that they didn't kill to quickly. As the 'farm' code or "loot scaling", kicks in if you kill to many foes to quickly.

Something I noticed while keg-farming vaettir yesterday.
If I just dropped kegs on them, they'd die quickly, and I'd get 4-5 drops, excluding Glacials and Tomes. This is killing 24 and 36, respecively. One or two of the drops would be gold, the rest white.
If, however, I bring them to low health using kegs, and then sliver them, I many more drops, but almost no golds. Purples, blues, whites, etc. Not one gold, though.
You can use an Obsidan Flesh build on an ele to farm the vaettir. Pretty easy to use

Replace this with Sliver Armor. Make sure you drop their health down first with teinai and crystal, then launch an echoed sliver.
Use a staff with +20% to make sure obsi is permanent, or else pay close attention to its recharge.

Firstly, you did not mentioned some important aspects when you are farming Raptors. Having the Asuran Title displayed gives you a bit more advantage. The second, what insignias did you put on all five armors? Either Geomancers or Blessed should be used. Most important, you should have 16 Earth on headgear. Lastly, target Rekoff and wand her repeatedly to ensure she does not run away. Yes, there will be times even that may fail but that is the throw of the dice, although skill and experience does lessen the chances of dying.

I do not have this problem. Slow kills maximise drops, whites, blues, purples and golds. Provided you want these for salvaging into mats, then it is worth the effort. What I do is farm Raptors, Gates of Kryta, Nightfall and Factions areas every now and then to avoid triggering the Farming Code nerf.
For Vaettirs I recommend putting a running skill on the bar to avoid the Wurm and others when running to the location. Also, it helps the movement speed when under the effects of Obs Flesh. I use blessed insignias on all 5 armors as I find using Geomancers only for Vaettirs and replacing them too troublesome. It works well. I don't see the reason why anyone would want to use only one build for Raptors to farm elsewhere as you can always switch builds using your templates. Furthermore, there is no one single build suitable for farming different areas.
